Marine SSB Radio Training
Friday, October 17, 2014, 5:30-9:30 p.m. (check in at 5:00 p.m.)
Gordon West and Shea Weston join forces to provide this 4-hour seminar for cruisers on SSB radio installation, operation tips, and valuable techniques with hands-on experience for everyone. Fee covers all training materials. Coffee and snacks provided.
Downwind Marine, 2804 Cañon Street in Point Loma (near Shelter Island), use the back door.
$25 per person / $30 per couple, cash or check at the door.

SailMail Training
Monday, October 20, 2014, 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Join Sue and Jim Corenman with Shea Weston for intensive 8-hour training on SailMail email using SSB radio with a Pactor modem or sat phone. Cruisers can keep in touch with family and friends while underway – worldwide! Learn all about the most effective set-up, operation, and applications including how to get weather information. Bring paper and pencil. Laptops welcome!Training includes live WiFi demonstration and practice in a classroom setting – the session provides a realistically slow WiFi connection for all.
Fees cover all training materials, plus morning coffee, deli-sandwich lunch, and afternoon snacks and refreshment.
Point Loma Assembly Hall at 3035 Talbot Street in Point Loma (near Shelter Island)
