Baja Ha-Ha XXVI

PRE-ARRIVAL PAPERWORK SYSTEM FOR ARRIVAL IN CABO IN BETA THIS WEEKEND

Assuming all goes well in testing this weekend, the Baja Ha-Ha, along with Victor Berrada of Berrada Agency (clearing boats since 1975 Cabo San Lucas), will be offering a way for Ha-Ha boats to have their paperwork taken care of before they arrive in Cabo.

This means that Ha-Ha participants who have to fly back to the States on the Saturday following arrival should have their completed paperwork waiting for them.

This system was used in a previous race to Cabo and worked well, so we have high expectations.

In order to use this service, skipper's will have to fill out the form on the Berreda website — not up yet because it's in testing — and include a high quality scan of the passport of every member of the crew.

WARNING! Without a professional quality scan of each crewmember's passport, a boat cannot use this system. And a cheeseball camera phone photo of the passport will not be accepted by officials in Cabo. Use a scanning program for your phone — there are lots of free apps for this — or have your application rejected.

Nobody has to use this system or the Berrada Agency to check in to Cabo/Mexico. But since the fleet will be arriving in Cabo on Friday, if you don't use the system, it's unlikely anybody on your boat will be able to fly out before Monday afternoon.

We've have details and pricing on Monday.
